How do I transfer .mp3 ringtones from my computer to my cell phone?

I have a Motorola V190 and it is directly usb capable, and it is compatable with mp3’s and jpeg’s. I wanted to create a ringtone and a wallpaper and send it to my phone. If possible, how do I view the phone as a small hard drive? When I plug the phone to my system, WIndows Xp likes to think of the phone as a modem.

ok so i have webjal for my 1880 i can only put wav or midi ringtones on my cell but i havent figure out a program (easy to use) that converts wav or mp3 to midi while making it still sound like an mp3? someone please help me i used to be able to do it along time ago but i forgot how!!!

I plug the phone into the usb cord and into the computer and it doesnt recognize the phone and I tried to download free mp3 ringtones from the internet on the phone and it wont let me download them. PLEASE HELP ME!!!!

I recently purchased a cell phone from the manufacturer and not my actual service provider and now I am unable to download ringtones directly from them to my phone, so is there a free or even cheap way to get MP3(songs with actual words) to my cell phone. I do not want a subscription for this, maybe just a fee per download or free.
