iPhone Custom Ringtones Tutorial for Windows Vista/7/XP

Here’s my step-by-step tutorial on how to create custom ringtones for any iphone/iphone 3G. I simplified this as much as possible, however as it is my first tutorial then please feel free to comment or ask questions. There are other tutorials that explain how to create the ringtones, but none that I’ve found so far that are as simple to understand and follow.

I’ve gotten everything to work. Only problem is ITunes wont let me delete the original for/new clip. When I right click or hit the delete button nothing happens.

A few people have issues syncing the ringtone to the phone, the only solution really is to try various types of syncing, automatically syncing or manually syncing. As this differs between person to person, depending on settings, the best way is to try a few methods

  16. rorymarsh says:

the best thing for you to do would be to manually add the file/ringtone from the File menu. Remember valid ringtones show up in the “Ringtones” category.

I have done it several times but the itunes dosen’t sync it to my phone.

  23. applewbanana says:

none of my customized songs shows the m4a thing behind the song :(

  24. rorymarsh says:

@applewbanana you can’t have followed the tutorial properley, you need to make sure you show extensions for known file types in windows, the tutorial explains.
