Can you set your downloaded music as ringers on the samsung upstage phone?

Hi guys-
you know how on most phones they double as an Mp3 player?
well i have lots of music on my upstage, and i was wondering if anyone knew how to set that downloaded and added music as a ringer.

i know how to download actual ringers off the internet and set them, but i was wondering if it’s possible to use my own added music.

I also know how to do it on other phones, so It’s not like im clueless in life. (my friend has the razor and ive set his music as ringtones) I just dont know how to do it on the upstage; if at all possible.

THANKS!

I think it depends on what type of phone you have. I know for sure All Sony Ericcson have that ability, but what the sony people tld me was that the cell phone company may block that ability, so people can purchase songs instead of recording them and then using them as a ringtone. By the way how was you able to do that for the Razor, I tried but no such luck. On my ericcson, I record a song or voice then save it. Probe down to recorded sounds, then probe “use as”. Once you probe that it gives you a choice use as ringtone, alarm signal, message alert or contact ringtone. Good Luck
